The first thing you will notice is the weight and you will probably wonder how this will actually help you sleep better. Applying a gentle pressure evenly on the body is called Deep Touch Pressure Stimulation (DTPS) and it has been found to regulate breathing, heart rate, and other functions of the body. Light touch is often perceived by some people as alerting and even agitating, while deep pressure touch is typically calming and organizing to the sensory systems.
Please be aware that getting used to the extra weight usually takes around 1-3 days, but it may also take a little longer. Please give your body the time it needs to adjust to the new sleep routine. If you haven't fully adjusted after the first 3 nights, you could start using it on the couch for a few hours daily or only on the lower part of your body.

Choose a weight that is between 8% - 15% of your body weight. If you are a first time user and in between weights or experience joint sensitivity, we recommend you start with 6.5 kg.
